BBC’s Morning Live to move to Salford as daytime series continues
The BBC’s daytime show Morning Live will become a permanent fixture on TV programs following the announcement of the show’s airing throughout the year.
The BBC One show, directed by Kym Marsh and Gethin Jones, will also move to Salford from January 2022.
The news was announced as part of the BBC’s larger plan “Across The UK”, which the broadcaster says is its “biggest transformation in decades, which will shift power and decision-making across the Kingdom. -United”.
Marsh said, âI’m delighted that audiences enjoyed watching Morning Live as much as we love. This is an exciting development for the show, and we look forward to keeping viewers company on many more mornings in the months to come, and obviously I couldn’t think of a better new home for the show. than Salford!
Jones said: âI am delighted that Morning Live has been so well received, and now we have the chance to do more! It’s an absolute joy to be a part of people’s everyday lives and to know that our audience is helping shape the week.

According to the BBC, the changes mean that from 2022 all of BBC One’s live output from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. will be broadcast from Salford.
The company said this means it is the only channel in the UK to broadcast all of its early morning releases from outside London.
Carla-Maria Lawson, head of the BBC’s Day and Morning Peak, said: âMorning Live was an incredible journey, viewers embraced it from the start. This year round commission is a response to the public demand for topical, relevant and entertaining content as a trusted companion in the morning.
Marsh was absent for a short time after hernia surgery earlier this year.
Morning Live features celebrity guests, hot topic discussions, and consumer advice, and launched in October 2020, with a second series announced in late January.
It broadcasts during the same time slot as ITV’s Lorraine, hosted by Lorraine Kelly.
